This modern postcard features a great image from the 1979 film The Wanderers. Set in 1963 New York City, the movie deals with on Italian High School age gang members. Staring were actors Ken Wahl, John Friedrich, Toni Kalem, Alan Rosenberg, Jim Youngs, Tony Ganios and actress Karen Allen.

This photo shows the gang members leaning our of the car windows of a 1949 Buick Super [51] windows to ogle to passing young girls. A similar artistic rendering of this image was used for the movie poster or onesheet.

The original image was taken by photographer Louis Goldman in 1979.
