A soulful black and white photo of Charlie Parker (1920-1955) playing his saxophone. Mr. Parker was famously called Bird or Yardbird who was an American jazz saxophonist and composer. He, along with Louis Armstrong and Duke Ellington, is widely considered one of the most influential of jazz musicians.
The original photograph was taken by Herman Leonard and titled Birdland, NYC, 1949. Performing the Herman Leonard Collection.
